Campus

BackyardThe Teton Valley Community School (TVCS) is located 2 blocks from the center of Victor, Idaho in a quiet residential neighborhood buffered by pastoral fields and gardens. The 3 acre campus is a dynamic learning environment that includes both indoor and outdoor educational spaces.

There are 2 pre-school classrooms in the Center for Early Learners (CFEL) building specifically designed to foster safe exploration and discovery for 3 through 5 year olds. The main school building includes the administrative offices, a children’s library, a learning kitchen, and the Kindergarten and combined 1st/2nd grade classrooms. This building also serves as a community meeting space. The 3rd/4th grade classroom is located in a brand new 500 square-foot yurt adjacent to the main school building. As we work toward implementing the campus Master Plan and our award-winning sustainable classrooms (link), the 5th/6th/7th grade classrooms have been temporarily located in a red school house 100 yards down the road from the main campus.

Sand PitOur students spend a significant amount of time outside in a multi-functional outdoor play space and innovative natural playground. The TVCS campus also has an organic garden, green house, chicken coup, and goat barn, which are all maintained by the students as part of our Farm and Garden Program.
